A Worcester Polytechnic Institute IQP team (Kaitlyn Barr, Peter Bragdon, Maxfield Diep, and Ishaan Patel) worked with Body & Data to develop guidelines that support Nepali students in using generative AI tools responsibly in their education. The team surveyed students and teachers, conducted interviews, and hosted a workshop, which revealed the widespread use of generative AI tools as well as concerns about their impact on students’ critical thinking and creativity. Based on this research, the team co-created guidelines with students for the responsible and ethical use of generative AI tools in Nepali education.
The project was supported by the teams at Thames International College, King’s College, and United College.
